Best Communities for
Music Education Application
Welcome and thank you for participating in the 2027 Best Communities for Music Education Award (BCME) process. The NAMM Foundation celebrates schools and districts nationwide that champion music as an essential part of a well-rounded education for all students. Applications are due by January 5, 2027.
Important Application Information
- Important: You have 15 days from starting your application to return, or your progress will be lost. To pause, close your browser, then return on the same computer with cookies enabled.
- We recommend printing the application PDF from The NAMM Foundation website and gather your data first. Once you have all the required data, the online form takes about 30–45 minutes. Your application is only submitted when you click the submit button on the final page. Don’t click it until you’re ready to submit your application.
- Assign one person to complete the application — someone familiar with your music education program and who has access to school or district data.
- Required questions are marked with an asterisk (*). Optional questions still count; unanswered questions can lower your overall score, so answer as many as you can.
- Please answer each question as honestly and completely as possible. All responses are confidential. The data analysis process was developed by WolfBrown, an independent research firm specializing in education and the arts.
