Each January, music college students and faculty from across the U.S. gather in southern California for GenNext at The NAMM Show. This music industry event is the largest music products trade show in the U.S. and, as a result, has been the industry trendsetter in unveiling cutting-edge technologies. GenNext programming included The Grand Rally for Music Education, The College Music Society Plenary Featuring Ryan West, GenNext Session presented by The College Music Society, and The Sandy Feldstein Industry Roundtable Featuring The Accidentals and music industry professionals.
What Attendees and Press Had To Say About GenNext
"The GenNext program provided many great opportunities for me, including the chance to hear Bob Taylor speak about starting a career in the music industry. The priceless experiences I had thanks to GenNext will help to shape my future in the music industry." - Tyler Schultz, GenNext Student

Get your tickets now and start planning your road trip across the U.S. to every major music event! #1: The 2017 NAMM Show - January 19-22” - Christiana Littrell, CollegeMagazine.com
“Speaking with the GenNext group was truly awesome. The students that attend are engaged in exploring opportunities in the music industry and are bringing new perspectives to what might be possible in our future. Their enthusiasm was contagious and I look forward to seeing and working with many of them in the years to come.” – Ryan West, West Music and The College Music Society Plenary Speaker
"Working for a company during The NAMM show was an amazing experience. Being able to interact with members of the industry first hand can expand knowledge about how the music industry works. Watching them interact with each other and seeing how they work at the show is a learning experience in itself. I am very grateful for this opportunity and hope in the future more people will be able to partake in this and learn as much as I have." - Lisa Morabito, GenNext Student who worked on the exhibit floor with Alfred Publishing
“Are you passionate about music? Stick with it. The 2017 NAMM Show is proof that the industry is alive and well and most definitely should be on your “must-do” list before graduation. While some—cough cough, your parents—may think that a music degree means an uncertain career path, they are mistaken. If you live and breathe for music, then devoting your studies to that pursuit comes with many options by graduation. You may be destined to become a musician or composer, or you just might end up working for one of these NAMM exhibitors, who are eager to hire music students like yourself.” – Kelly Livingston, CollegeMagazine.com
“At The NAMM Show, you get a glimpse into the future. You get an opportunity to lay your hands on brand-new instruments that haven’t even been marketed yet or are just hitting the marketplace, and technology that’s just beginning to emerge.”- Nancy Tarr, GenNext Faculty, as told to the Madison Country Courier
