The NAMM Foundation invites education professionals of all levels (K-12, private, independent, college faculty, administrators, counselors, etc.) to join us for The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. Five days of events and three days of exhibits, with a jam-packed events schedule, game-changing education and thousands of brands introducing new innovative tools for today’s classroom! Join your global music-making community for sessions, hands-on workshops, networking events, concerts, and only-at-NAMM experiences.
Individual NAMM Membership for Music Educators
Education professionals are eligible for individual NAMM membership, available when qualified applicants register for The NAMM Show. Speaking with Your School Administrator about The NAMM Show
While the choice to become an individual NAMM member might be an easy decision for you, especially since it includes complimentary access to The NAMM Show, your school administration might like some additional information as to why they should help support your attendance and membership.
Here are three recommendations for asking your administration for approval to attend The NAMM Show:
- Determine three quantifiable goals you’d like to achieve.
Include action words such as: “learn,” “network,” “gain,” and “discover.” For example:
Learn about innovative ideas that I can bring back to the classroom.
Network and build relationships with 5 new companies.
- Outline the costs.
Be clear about the full cost of the event – including registration fee, hotel nights, and travel costs. Providing the cost details will help your administration with the decision-making process.
- Send a formal request.
