The NAMM Foundation and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus invite 2015 Best Communities for Music Education districts and SupportMusic Merit Award schools to submit a one-minute student-made, faculty-advised video that explains:
What Makes Music Education Great in My School or District
Creativity and originality are encouraged! Videos may feature student performances, as well as testimonials from students, teachers, school administrators, and community and business leaders who are supportive of music education in your district. Winning videos will have a strong theme that communicates excitement and commitment to your music program.

How To Enter
To be eligible, entries must be submitted by a faculty member from a Best Communities for Music Education district or Support Music Merit Award School. Check here to find out if your school or district is on the list.
Eligible videos will be judged based on how effectively they showcase student involvement in--and community support for--music education.
Step one: Upload your video to YouTube with your school or district’s name and, “What Makes Music Education Great in My School or District,” as the video description.
Step two: Visit www.lennonbus.org/nammbestcommunities and submit the link to your video by May 8, 2015.
WINNERS AND PRIZES
Grand Prize: Up to 6 winners will receive a two-day music education residency with The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, which includes hosting a SupportMusic Community Forum by The NAMM Foundation during the 2015-2016 school year. On Day 1, students will create an original song and record a music video on The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a state-of-the-art mobile recording studio. On Day 2, winners will host a SupportMusic Community Forum to highlight participation and community support for your music education program. The SupportMusic Community Forum is a town-hall style national webcast that is broadcast live; it features school and community leaders along with teachers, parents and students who are working to assure that music education is available to all students as part of the curriculum.
Winners will be announced on May 14, 2015
