NAMM’S Million More Music Makers
Guitar, Ukulele, and Bass in Classrooms and Communities
The NAMM Foundation will once again fill The NAMM Show with professionally curated education sessions and events through its Music Education Days and GenNext programs, Grand Rally for Music Education, Non-Profit Management Institute, and more. In addition, The NAMM Foundation will launch a new initiative, Million More Music Makers. Research continually demonstrates the true joys and benefits of making and learning music for people of all ages and abilities. NAMM’s Million More will engage, educate and inspire participants to expand music learning opportunities in and through guitar, ukulele and bass.
The 2023 inaugural edition of Million More Music Makers will infuse the Foundation’s longstanding programs with a focus on the teaching, learning, and playing of guitar, ukulele, and bass in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as in community centers and events. Professional and amateur musicians, teachers, college students and faculty, school administrators and curriculum specialists, community music organization leaders and passionate participants will gather and participate in:
- teacher training for classroom and group instruction is possible in schools and community organizations everywhere
- review of school curriculum planning and alignment with education standards
- workshops and hands-on learning experiences
- performance classes with expert artists open to players of all levels
- an exploration of passionate community music-making groups
- a celebration of luthiers and technicians
- And performances galore!
We hope you will join us in our work to amplify the power of music in our world.
Teachers, students, leaders, and staff of community music organizations, and all who believe in music are encouraged to participate and accelerate the vision that all people of every age and ability can make music. Registration for The 2023 NAMM Show is now open.
